Military Honors
The Armed Services of the United States will provide representatives as a burial detail for eligible veterans. Each branch usually provides a full detail for active duty or retired officers.
For veterans who only served a few years, regardless whether it was during wartime, representatives from Fort Drum will be present to present the flag and play “Taps” (a recorded CD).
As part of our standard service, we will make all of the arrangements for you; all you need do is provide us with a copy of the honorable discharge to receive full veteran death benefits.
Even should you decide not to have honors, each veteran is entitled to a flag and a headstone. Again, as part of our standard service, we will process all of the applications for you.
