Obituary for Joyce A. Wildrick

Joyce A. Wildrick, 64, of Minoa, passed peacefully with her family by her side on Friday. She graduated from Convent High School in 1968. Joyce was a daycare provider having helped raised many children and she also worked as a cook at the Sunshine Coffee Shop. She enjoyed reading, sewing and knitting but especially her role as beloved Nana. Joyce was a booster and seamstress for ESM Marching Band as well as the Syracuse Brigadiers Drum Corps. She was also a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Minoa. Joyce was predeceased by her parents Anna and George J. Roy, Sr.
Survivors: Her husband of 45 years, Mark; children, Christopher (Kristen) of Greece, NY, Melody (Peter) Blake of Syracuse and Lisa (Paul) Cullen of North Wales, PA; sister Janet Heintz of Crystal Lake, IL; brother George Roy, Jr. of Pittsford, NY; 14 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday at R. H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Road, Minoa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Tuesday at St. Mary’s Church, 401 North Main Street, Minoa. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Minoa.
