Francis Harold Smegelsky, 91, died peacefully on November 2, 2015. He was born in Oswego, NY.       
He is predeceased by his wife Rosemary in 2013.  Surviving are his children, Sandra Smegelsky of Memphis, TN, Francis (Debbie) Smegelsky of Tallmadge, OH, and Theresa (John) McDonald of Potomac, MD; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.      
"Harold" was an army veteran who was wounded while serving in the European Theater in World War II, reaching the rank of Master Sergeant.  He was known locally as the "floor man," and worked most of his life as a tile and linoleum mechanic, mainly for Tile Town in Syracuse.      
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Holy Cross Church, 4112 E. Genesee St., Dewitt.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt.  Family and friends may call from 10:30 to 11:00 am on Friday at the Church before the Mass.       
Should friends desire, memorial contributions  may be sent to the Sisters of St. Francis , Neumann Communities, retirement program.
