Obituary for John E. Jolliffe

John E. Jolliffe of Manlius passed away on June 2, 2016.
Jack grew up in Pelhman and Water Mill, NY where he worked many years as a lifeguard and enjoyed body surfing, fishing and especially is beloved sailboat Yerpso. He was an alumni of Choate and Bard, where he met his wife of 54 years, Jeanne P. Jolliffe (deceased). Jack continued his education at Pratt receiving a degree in Industrial Design. He was granted 100's of design patents while working for SCM, but more important to him were the life-long friendships with his coworkers. Jack was an avid animal lover with a "Dr. Doolittle" like affect who also enjoyed taking trips to Derby Hill to watch the hawk migration. Gramps was a regular sight at local horse shows with his wife and granddaughter. A life-long car enthusiast, Jack spent many long hours working on cars and was a member of the Porsche Club of America for 50+ years. Jack was a proud Veteran of the Korean War. He is also predeceased by his parents; Carey and Jane (Staples) Jolliffe, a sister Joanne Strong and numerous pets. He is survived by his children Laurel (John), Georgina and Carey Jolliffe; granddaughters Jilian Kimball and Pridday Jolliffe-Buyce.
