Obituary for Yaowu Shu
Yaowu Shu, 78, of Manlius passed away after a short illness. Born in Beijing, China, he retired as an engineer there before moving to Manlius 18 years ago. He was an avid sports fan and fisherman; and participated in a Bible Study group.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Hanyu; daughter, Jian (Qing) Gu of Manlius; son, Jun (Lina) Shu of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Anniya and Raymond Gu; two brothers and a sister in China.
A calling hour will be from 4:30 to 5:30 pm Saturday at Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Rd., Manlius. The service will follow.
