Doris E. Whitbread, 92, of Canastota, died peacefully at home. Born in Syracuse she graduated from St. Anthony of Pauda High School. She married Ralph E. Whitbread and lived in Syracuse and Camillus before retiring to Calabash, NC. She enjoyed crafts and summers at her camp; and loved animals. She always had fond memories of her co-workers at General Electric.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph in 2012; sister, Irene Evans; and brother, John Joyce.
She is survived by daughter, Diane Oliver; son, Scott Whitbread; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and extended family.
Services will be 11:00 am Friday, March 24 at the R. H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Rd., Minoa. Spring burial will be in McConnellsville Cemetery.
