Doris M. Reil Greene, 89, of East Syracuse, died at her home. Born in Newton Falls, NY on December 24, 1927she graduated from Newton Falls High School. Doris was a homemaker, a communicant of St. Matthew’s Church in East Syracuse, an avid gardener and enjoyed singing and playing the piano.
She was predeceased by her husband, James E. Greene; grandson, Christian Polly; and brothers John and Richard.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Greene Belge (Lawrence) of Jacksonville, FL and Debra Polly of Jackson Hole, WY; son, David Greene (Jacqueline) of East Syracuse; brothers, Amos Reil of Newton Falls and Lawrence Reil of East Syracuse; grandchildren, Jennifer Greene, Bridget Greene, Justin Polly (Kasey) and Michele Johnson (Michael); and great-grandchildren, Kyle Thorsen, Lucas Johnson and Samantha Johnson.
Family and friends may call from 10 am to Noon on Monday, April 10 at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. A service will follow the calling hours. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in DeWitt.
