Condolence From: Nancy L. Cassella
Condolence: Mrs. VanMarter, Laura, Dayle and family, I am so sorry for the loss of Dave.In 1983, Our family home caught on fire and Dave and the other firefighters from Minoa got to our home quickly and put out the fire. The Eagle Bulletin had interviewed Dave and this is what he said."It's a good thing that they had a working smoke detector or we have pulled 5 bodies out of there." My father never forgot how quickly they responded and was so grateful that they saved our home. My father passed away in 2011 and I believe that he was finally able to thank Dave for saving our home. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Hugs!

Condolence: Janet & Family, Even though it has been many years since I last saw you & Dave I do remember some fun times while being part of something he truly loved being a part of ( the good ole yardbirds ). Dave devoted a tremendous amount of time and energy to insure our village had the finest and most dedicated Fire Department and worked tirelessly to train and mentor many of the younger volunteers to continue to serve and protect the Village Of Minoa and Onondaga County and beyond. I am sorry to hear of his passing and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family at this time of sadness. One of your former classmates and friends. Kenny Neyhart
