Fotine Decesare, 88, of Minoa passed away April 12, 2017. Born in New York City, Fotine grew up in Manhattan and resided in the Syracuse area most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Bertha Georgiade. In addition to working for Onondaga County, Flo operated her own beauty shop.
“Floie”, as she was affectionately called, was called home to Heaven to be with her precious Savior the Lord Jesus Christ, 4 days before the celebration of the Resurrection Day, Easter.
Fotine will be missed by those who survive her, husband, Mike Decesare of Minoa; step-son, Kenny MacDurman (Maureen) of Baldwinsville; sister, Mary Georgiade of NYC; brother, Nicholas Georgiade of Las Vegas; niece, Linda M. DeFelix-Spear (Greg); nephew, Michael P. DeFelix, niece, Stazi Georgiade, and nephews, Rick Georgiade (Carolyn), George Georgiade (Eleni) and Nick Georgiade.
She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and above all her strong love of the Lord.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, April 23 from 2-4 pm at the R. H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Rd. Minoa. A funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday, April 24 at the funeral home.
