Obituary for Beverly J. Curr

Beverly J. Curr, 81, of Pompey, passed away Wednesday. She was a native of Pompey and a resident of Manlius and Pompey all her life. She retired in 1993 as a Sales Clerk at Harvey’s Drugs in Manlius after 20 years. Beverly was a member of the First Baptist Church of Manlius and also attended the Pompey Community Church.
Beverly was Past Matron of the Manlius Chapter #493 Order of The Eastern Star.
She was an energetic, always on the go, feisty woman. Beverly took pride in manicuring her gardens, mowing her lawn and has been known to ride an occasional motorcycle. She would strike up a conversation with anyone, even strangers. Beverly was a good friend to many and had a soft spot for her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Margo Freeman; sons, Mitchell (Deborah), Randy (Maria), Roland and Darrick (Tracie) Marris; step-children, Joseph (Colleen) Curr, Louis Curr, Jeanette Skeele; sister, Delores Everhart; brothers, William and Gerald Sterritt; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Curr; former husband, Chuck Marris; and brother, Arthur Sterritt.
Calling hours will be 10 am - 12 pm, Saturday, April 22, at the First Baptist Church of Manlius, 408 Pleasant St., Manlius. A funeral service will follow the calling hours.
