Obituary for Anna Wells Howell

Anna Wells Howell, 81, of Fayetteville, died on Wednesday, May 10th. Anna grew up in Fayetteville and was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and Katherine Gibbs Business School in New Jersey. She worked as a private secretary at Niagara Mohawk and Judge Stewart Hancock’s Law office in Syracuse before working alongside her husband at Penfield Country Club and Cazenovia Golf Club.
She was a member of the United Church of Fayetteville and volunteered at the Fayetteville Cemetery. She and her husband spent winters in Singer Island, Florida.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richmond Howell, Jr.; two children, Nancy Levy of Fayetteville and Richmond (Carol) Howell III of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughters, Melissa (Brennen) Ainsworth and Danielle Howell; great-grandchildren, Isaac and Adelaide Ainsworth; a niece, a nephew, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 15th at 1:00 pm at the United Church of Fayetteville, 310 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. Burial will be in Fayetteville Cemetery.
