Thomas H. McKee, Jr. age 87, died May 28, 2017. He was born in Oswego, NY to the late Thomas and Mary McKee. He attended St. Paul’s Academy and graduated from Oswego High School.
After enlisting in the U.S. Air Force in 1948, he served at many bases including Kadena AFB in Okinawa. He retired after serving 20 years at the Pentagon as a Master Sergeant. He returned to Syracuse, accepted a position at the VA Medical Center, and retired in 1990.

Golf and bowling were two of his favorite sports, joining many leagues and carrying a 190 plus bowling average. In golf he accomplished three holes-in-one. Another favorite pastime was doing all the daily crossword puzzles.

Tom is survived by his wife of 57 years, Catherine McKee; daughter, Amy (Peter) Egitton; and grandson, James Egitton. Surviving also are several nieces and nephews. His sisters, Mary Moshier and Gloria Stark, predeceased him.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 3 from 1 to 2:30 pm at the Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 pm, with a reception immediately after at the Cavalry Club in Manlius.
