Obituary for Robert S. Ward

Robert Scott Ward passed away suddenly on June 25th in Kittanning, PA while on business.  Bob resided in East Syracuse but was born and raised in the town of Candor, NY.
Bob graduated from Alfred State University. A true entrepreneur, Bob operated numerous businesses. He was often described as a “walking encyclopedia” and the life of every party. His vast knowledge of all subjects was quite amazing. Bob was also a veracious reader. He has been the CEO and G.M. of Hydro-Labs, Inc. since 1986. Considered an expert in the field of chemical makeup and reactions of asphalt & concrete structures, he served on numerous committees and was consulted by others around the world on a multitude of different subjects.
He had a love and passion for many things, including motorcycles. He strived to research and develop natural and homeopathic remedies for certain health conditions. He truly lived to help others in need. It is very difficult to describe in words a man with a spirit so diverse, special, intense and radiant.
Bob was devoted as a husband, father, friend, innovator, and mentor to countless people. His smile, optimism, and motivation will forever leave an imprint in the fabric of this world. He was predeceased by his parents C. Keene & Priscilla Ward and his brother Thomas Ward. He is survived by his loving wife Karen and wonderful children, Alissa Rose, Tyler (Rayssa) Ward. He was also blessed with his beautiful granddaughter Isabella Marie who now knows that her “Pappy” is the brightest star in the sky and is there to guide her through life.
He is also survived by his brother Michael (Doris) Ward, sisters Julie Sheehy, and Susan Tenbroeke, in-laws, Ellyn Sauer, Amy & Dave Cook, David & Darliene Sauer, and Daniel & Kathleen Sauer, along with numerous wonderful nieces, nephews, and a close extended family. Needless to say, Bob will be remembered by all who met him and greatly missed by those who loved him.
Calling hours will be Thursday, June 29 from 4 to 7pm at the R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepps Corners Road, Minoa. A funeral service will be Friday, June 30 at 11am at the funeral home.
