Dianne DiMatteo, 76, of Manlius passed away Sunday while vacationing in Maine with her good friend Ron Thornton. She was born in Caughdenoy, NY, the daughter of the late George and Rena Clapp. Dianne graduated from Syracuse University with a Masters Degree in reading education.

Dianne was an English Teacher, Insurance Underwriter and a Business Owner. She operated DiMatteo Stone with her husband Richard until her retirement.

      She was a member of May Memorial Unitarian Church. Dianne enjoyed volunteering, travel and spending time with family and friends.

    Surviving are her sons, Brad (Donna) and Adam (Christabel) Sheldon; step-sons, Alexander (Abigail) and Brett (Kristen) DiMatteo; sisters, Marjorie (Nolan) Bradbury and Barbara Synowicki; sister-in-law, Nancy Hall; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dianne is predeceased by her husband A. Richard DiMatteo.
