Obituary for Robert H. Loucks

Robert H. Loucks, 80, of East Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Tuesday.

Born in Whitehall, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Helen Loucks. He graduated from Lansingburgh High School in Troy, NY. He served in the US Air Force and graduated from Syracuse University. He retired from Syracuse China after 30 plus years of service.

Robert was an avid Syracuse football and basketball fan. He loved running, spending time with his family, and was an active member of his church.

He was predeceased by his brother, George; and sisters, Polly and Dema.

Surviving is his love of his life, Sally; daughter, Jill (Tyler) Curtis of Ballston Lake; son, Timothy (Patty) Loucks of North Syracuse; brothers, E. John Loucks of Queensbury and Hal (Sylvia) Loucks of Rock Island, IL; sister, Dorothy (John) Litherland of Averill Park; and Alicia Nelson of Dickson, TN and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may pay their condolences at the Fayetteville United Methodist Church, 601 E. Genesee Street, Fayetteville, from 1 to 3pm on Sunday, September 3 with a memorial service to follow at 3pm.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Iroquois Nursing Home for their dedication and care.
