Obituary for Margaret J. Kiernan

Margaret J. Kiernan, 92, passed away on Sunday. She was born in Brooklyn, raised her family on Long Island, and spent the last 15 years in Fayetteville. She retired from Island Federal Savings and Loan where she served as Vice-President. She was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville. Margaret was predeceased by her wonderful husbands, Thomas F. Erwin, Sr., Norman A. Carver and James F. Kiernan; sister, Janet White and brother, Jim Scanlon.
She is survived by her two sons, Thomas F. (Lee) Erwin, Jr of Manlius, NY and William C. (Kim) Erwin of Ridge, NY; stepchildren, James (Veronica) Kiernan and Leslie (Hank) Giles; grandchildren Kristen Pryce, Shannon (Jeff) Favalo, Lauren (Kevin) Hogan, Danielle (Joe) Angeloro; great-grandchildren, Emma Pryce, Mia and Grace Favalo, Chase Hogan and Luca Angeloro and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 25 from 6 to 8 pm at James Funeral Home, 540 Broadway, Massapequa, NY 11755. Services will be held on Thursday, October 26 at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Memorial Service will be held in Fayetteville at a later date.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Red Cross Hurricane Relief.
