Donna M.  Bonacci
Donna Marie Simone Bonacci of Fayetteville, NY passed away on November 8, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, NY on August 24, 1934 to the late Charles and Anne Simone.
She was a graduate of The Convent School and St Joseph’s College of Nursing where she was the president of her graduating class. She worked as a nurse before her marriage in 1958 to Joseph R. Bonacci. She was a faithful and active member of Holy Cross Church in DeWitt, NY where she supported school events for many years. She was passionate about music and was a talented pianist. She was known for her particular and artistic sense of style that was evident in her flair for fashion.
Donna is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph Richard Bonacci, DDS; her 5 children, Christen Bonacci (Joseph Miller), Claire Bonacci, Amy Winters (Michael Winters), Joseph Randall Bonacci (Elizabeth Bonacci), Sara Beth Bonacci (Christian Woodhead); 12 grandchildren; her sister Jacolyn Bernardi; and many close nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by an infant son, Joseph Richard Bonacci, Jr. and her sister Rosalind Pascarella. She was incredibly devoted to her family and gave her unstoppable love to all.
Calling hours will be on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Church, 4112 E. Genesee St., DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Joseph’s College of Nursing, attention: Mary Ann Wafer, 206 Prospect Ave, Syracuse, NY 13203.
