Condolence From: Carleen Smith
Condolence: Our deepest sympathy to you Karen and family...Edd coached our youngest daughter, Courtney, in the Sidewinders...he was a great coach, but most especially a kind man. We were fortunate to have him help us with our siding, our windows, always giving us his FOE (friend of Edd) quote. Most recently...he came up to me at Wegman's and asked if I remembered him...at first I didn't but when he told me, I said "YES!" Although he was much thinner, his eyes still had their kindness...even going out of his way to come up to me to greet me. So know that you are all in our prayers for the loss of this kind man...I bet he and my husband Paul will be coaching from heaven. With continued prayers, Carleen Smith & Courtney Smith Sprague

Condolence: Amy and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. May you be overwhelmed by peace and comfort in these days of mourning. May you multiply and amplify the love your father gave in his time with you. I am glad to hear that you were able to be together in the last days. Every sun that rises must set and sunsets shared with loved ones are the best, but even when the sun has set completely, it's still shining somewhere else.

Condolence: Hi Karen, I am truly saddened by your loss as well shared by many I am sure. You and only met a few times while on my work trips to Syracuse every week back in the 60's and 70's. Eddie was so highly revered by so many of us in Colonie. Baseball, Football, bowling or just hanging out. We called him "the barrel", as you may recall. He was strong as an ox. He stuck up for everyone around him. I will always remember him as one of the most special people in my life.

Condolence: Eddie will be sorely missed. He was the “it guy” in school.. funny, always a gentleman, handsome, kind and all the girls adored him. The last time I saw Ed was at Colonie Central’s 50th reunion..he hadn’t changed a bit and we had a delightful time. Words cannot help with your pain. Please know Ed was a beautiful soul who touched many hearts. May God Bless you and your family and Grant you Peace.
