Frank J. DeSantis, 101, of Pittsford, formerly of Solvay, died on November 28, 2017.

Predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Rosemary; his parents; and several brothers and sisters. Survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Denise DeSantis-Penwright (James Penwright), Nancy Wahl (Richard) and Janet Anderson (David); grandchildren, Daniel and Kellyn Wahl, Collin and Troy Anderson; sisters, Josephine DeVoe, Lydia Ducett and Corinne Luttmann; brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Frank was a proud WWII Army veteran, Syracuse University graduate, Toastmaster, Mason and devoted member of his church. After Frank was widowed, he enjoyed 20 years of traveling the world with his companion, Helen. Frank was a joyful, kind man of faith, beloved by family and friends.

The family wishes to thank the many people who provided kind and compassionate care to Frank in his later years, in particular: Culver Dygert, Joe Charles, Dr. Blair, Dr. Rashid, the VA Outpatient Center staff including Dr. Emelie, the Lindsay Place staff at the Friendly Home and the medical team in unit 6-1200 at Strong Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 1st, at 11 am at Mountain Rise United Church of Christ, 2 Mountain Rise, Fairport.

Friends may call Saturday, December 2nd beginning at 10 AM at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville followed by a prayer service at 11 am. The burial ceremony will follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens in DeWitt.
