Bruce A. Smith, 78, of East Syracuse passed away Tuesday January 23, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Gouverneur on June 4, 1939 he was the son of Leon and Helen Smith but was raised by Eva and Leroy Blair. He was a graduate of Gouverneur High School, Class of 1958. He was a machinist for over 37 years for Carrier.
Bruce loved to fish, golf, play cards, travel, and most of all spend time with his family.
He is predeceased by his loving four legged companion, Josie.
He is survived by, his wife Jane; his children, Julie (John) Queor and Robert (Jennifer) Smith; and five grandsons, John, Jordan, Jacob, Evan, and Tanner; sister, Janet Ploof; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11am at the Collamer United Methodist Church, 6865 Fly Road, East Syracuse, NY 13057
