Obituary for Stanley J. Waskiewicz

Stanley J. Waskiewicz, 83, of Fayetteville died peacefully at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Syracuse and graduated from St. Vincent DePaul High School. He was a retired salesman and a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville. He served in the Air Force and was a member of the Pulaski American Legion Post 1650. He was an avid Pitch player and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary A. Waskiewicz; three daughters, Kathleen Waskiewicz of North Syracuse, Margaret (Clint) Woodard of Central Square and Sharon Waskiewicz of Syracuse; step-children, Susan Casler of Glen, NY and Timothy Zellweger of Parishville; sisters, Marcia, Helene and Susan; brothers, Robert and Chester; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call Friday, February 2nd from 9:30 to 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St. Fayetteville. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow the calling hours. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in DeWitt.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Legion Pulaski Post 1650, 1604 Burnet Ave., Syracuse, NY 13206.
