Michael G. Rowe Jr., 52, of Fayetteville, New York, passed away peacefully on January 27th, 2018. Michael graduated in 1987 from Pathfinder School in Edmeston, NY. During the 1990s Michael transitioned into independent living back in the Fayetteville area with the assistance of family and Onondaga Community Living. He held several local jobs including Wegmans and in more recent years, for the Craftsman Inn in Guest Services.
Michael is survived by his mother Kathleen M. and stepfather Avery Sinclair of Fayetteville, NY, his brother David H. and his wife, Anna, and his two nieces, Maya and Sienna of Walnut Creek, CA; his sister, Alexandra L. Brazier of Boston, MA; stepbrother Chip Sinclair and niece Torin of Philadelphia, PA.; stepsister Stacey Sinclair and nephew Adam of Liverpool, NY, his extended family, several aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and many friends. Michael is preceded in death by his father, Michael G. Rowe Sr., and his devoted and loving sister, Kathleen M. Rowe-Vita of East Syracuse, NY.

Michael was very proud of his independence and relationships within the community. On any given day, Michael could be seen around the village socializing with neighbors, having coffee at Freedom of Espresso, and even grabbing a beer (or two) at Hullars and JP Mulligans.

He enjoyed skiing, bicycling, soccer league, walks around Green Lakes, backyard family barbecues, a weekly dance, and trips to California every year. He was also a participant in the Special Olympics, winning several awards and medals.

Words can’t begin to describe the deep impact Michael had on our lives. He was a very special person to all who knew him, and he enjoyed and lived a good life. He was ever so kind and loving, always lived in the present, made us laugh, and reminded us what was important in life. He will be dearly missed.
