Obituary for Thomas A. Dain III

Thomas A. Dain III
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our husband, father, and grandfather, Thomas A. Dain III. He faced his long battle with cancer with the same strength, courage, and integrity he demonstrated every day of his life, never once allowing his spirit to break in the face of adversity, always replying “It’s just another bump in the road.”

Thomas was a graduate of Cazenovia High School, Christian Brothers Academy, and San Jose State.

After retiring from the Syracuse Police Department, Thomas remained active as a master carpenter and contractor. He was always helpful to family, friends and strangers alike.

Thomas is predeceased by his parents, Bernice and Thomas II of Cazenovia. He is survived by his wife, Majdolin Essi Dain; daughter, Catherine (Dean) Dain Brutcher; grandchildren, Dominic, Nicolas, Cristian, Nataliya; and several sisters and brothers.

Calling hours will be 12:30 to 2:30 pm on Saturday, February 10th at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. A service will begin at 2:30 pm at the funeral home.
