Arleta M.  Maine
Arleta M. Maine passed away on February 10 at Syracuse. Mrs. Maine was born May 7, 1939 at Carthage to the late Arlington and Leta Hendrick Stoddard. She graduated from Carthage Central School and was married to Elgin Maine in Potsdam.

Mrs. Maine was an avid gardener, loved to fish, do puzzles and play Bingo.

She was predeceased by her husband; son, Alfred; and daughter, Hilda Kay Maine.

Surviving are her children, Hyla Woodruff, Lola Maine, Jonathan Verrill and Sarah Elliot all of Potsdam and Ellen Verrill Flowers of Gardiner, ME; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Stoddard Brown and Kay Sue Stoddard Tuttle; a brother, Arlington F. Stoddard, Jr. all of Dade, City, FL; her devoted caregiver A. Brette Cooper of Syracuse and many friends.

Services will be private.
