Lillian E. “Sue” Gondeck, 73, of Kirkville died peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born in Washington, DC. She worked at Stonehedge Nursing Home in Chittenango and Sunnyside Nursing Home in East Syracuse. She was a member of North Manlius United Church and also attended Kirkville Methodist Church. She was a former member of North Manlius Grange.

Sue enjoyed spending time with her family and will be deeply missed until we see you again.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald F. Gondeck; her parents, Mary and John Unangst; brothers, Muriel and George Unangst; sister, Ruth Zickafoose; and son-in-law, Robert Groth.

She is survived by children, Donell Groth of LaFayette, David Gondeck of LaFayette, Linda McLean (David) of LaFayette, Karen Garm of Kirkville, Kim Blanchard (Matthew) of Kirkville, Richard Gondeck (Jaime) of Kirkville, Bruce Gondeck (Terri) of Bridgeport and Jodi Brockway (Joseph) of LaFayette; son-in-law, Richard Curcio of Kirkville; brothers, John Unangst of Florida and James Unangst of Texas; sisters, Nancy Kalinowski of Delmar, MD, Tina King of Severn, MD, Joanne Unangst of Severn, MD, Mabel Griggs of Troutman, NC and Ginger Goldsboro of Gaithersburg, MD; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel 6530 Schepp’s Corners Rd., Minoa. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Pine Plains Cemetery in North Manlius.
