Obituary for Virginia Marie (Penoyer) Fuller

Virginia Marie (Penoyer) Fuller, 68, of Pompey, passed away on November 25, 2017, at Francis House.
Born in Syracuse, Ginny grew up in Oran, near Manlius, and graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius Senior High School. She was an administrator at Hutchings Psychiatric Center for more than three decades, until her retirement in 2004.
She was predeceased by her parents, Barden E. and Anna M. Penoyer, of Oran.
Ginny was an enthusiastic member of bowling leagues and an avid golfer. She won amateur competitions in both sports. She was devoted to animals, particularly her two huskies, and was a long-time supporter of the Humane Society of the United States and an advocate for the responsible protection of wolves. She also enjoyed spending time in the Adiriondacks, especially near Inlet, NY.
Ginny is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert J. Fuller, Jr.; three brothers, David E. Penoyer (Rita) of West Henrietta, NY, John B. Penoyer (Marley) of Manlius, NY, and Ronald J. Penoyer of St. Louis, MO; two cousins, and a niece and three nephews.
Ginny’s family would like to thank the staff of Francis House for the compassion and care they provided.
