Obituary for Margaret Stewart

Margaret “Peg” Stewart, 87, of Minoa, passed away Tuesday, peacefully surrounded by family. She was born in Brooklyn and was the daughter of the late James and Margaret Marren. She grew up in Brooklyn and later moved to Syracuse in 1953. Peg worked as a nurse for her entire career and later retired from the Syracuse Home as a Nurse Practitioner.

She was an active member of St. Mary’s Church.

Peg’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed reading and watching sports, especially SU and the Yankees.

Surviving are her daughters, Peggy (Michael) Leonard, Karen (Phil) Curtis, Marian (Michael) McGraw, Kathleen (Dwayne) Bird, Donna (Lanny) Baker; brother, James Marren; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 at R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Rd., Minoa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Mary’s Church, 401 N. Main St., Minoa.
