Obituary for Adam (AJ) J. Harfosh

      Adam Joseph Harfosh (AJ), of Hoboken, NJ passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday , May 6, 2022.   AJ was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend.

    AJ was a 2005 graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School, where he played football through his senior year.  He received his bachelor's degree from Seton Hall and his master’s degree from SUNY Oswego.  He was a Certified Public Accountant at PWC where he began his career in 2010 and attained the position of Director at their Florham Park office in New Jersey.  His colleagues describe him as thoughtful, resourceful, highly intelligent and a caring co-worker. 

    AJ thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of golf. He grew up spending summers golfing and working at the Cavalry Golf Club where members and staff adored him.  He was an active member of the Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, NJ.  His golf friends reflected on AJ’s positivity and enthusiasm.

    AJ and Shannon began dating in 2007 and were married in 2013.  They began their marriage in Rochester, NY and currently reside in Hoboken, NJ.  Their favorite pass times were spent cooking together, traveling to new places, frequenting their favorite local restaurants and most of all, enjoying their 11-month-old daughter, McKinley.

    AJ’s devotion to his wife and daughter was admired by all. He adored his family, and they were his number one priority.  He was a generous person, brightened every room and made everyone feel welcome.  All who knew him will miss his open heart and infectious smile.

    AJ is survived by his wife, Shannon, his infant daughter, McKinley Alice, father Bill (Peggy), mother Heather Kipping, brother Billy Harfosh, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who love him.

    Calling hours will be Thursday, May 12 from 4 to 7pm at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee Street. Fayetteville.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 13 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St. Fayetteville. Burial will follow in Fayetteville Cemetery.
