Obituary for Adeline "Addie" O'Sullivan

Adeline “Addie” Pelchy O’Sullivan, 96, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully early Monday morning. She was born in Marcellus and graduated from Marcellus High School. She served in the Navy as a pharmacist mate during WWII. Following she received a business degree from CCBI.

She worked for Royal Globe Insurance for 23 years. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. She was an honorary member of the office staff at Immaculate Conception.

She married the love of her life, Jim in 1948. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the loves of her life.

She was predeceased by her husband, the love of her life for 61 years, James H. in 2010; her parents and her brother, James Pelchy. She is survived by her daughter, Terry of Manlius; her son, William (Maureen) of Westvale; brother, Donald Pelchy; grandchildren, William (Kyle), Mary Margaret, Kaitlin, Sarah (Terrence) and Timothy (Jacquelyn); and great-grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, Hannah, Lukas, Ayanah and Ariella; many other honorary grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 am to Noon on Saturday, March 6th at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville. The funeral Mass will follow the calling hour. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Fayetteville.

A celebration of Addie’s life will be held in the Summer.

The family would like to thank the nurses and aides on the 2nd floor of Elderwood for the wonderful care they provided her.
