Obituary for Ann M. Robinson

Ann M. Robinson passed away peacefully on March 14, 2022.  Ann was born on August 5, 1931, in Cohoes, NY.  She graduated from Keveny Memorial Academy and attended Sienna College.  She married the love of her life, Charles Robinson in 1951.  They lived in Connecticut and Minnesota, before settling in Fayetteville, NY.  Retirement would take Charlie and Ann to Morehead City, NC, and then to their beautiful Pinehurst, NC home.  After the passing of Charlie, Ann moved to Glan Arm, MD to be closer to family.  Eileen and her husband Mike made sure Ann’s final years were filled with happiness and care.

Ann was a very active parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church, Fayetteville, NY, teaching in their religious education program for many years and then as a Teacher’s Aide in the Kindergarten program.  She was also involved in her community, volunteering at Meals on Wheels, FM Schools and Booster Club, Carteret Hospital in Morehead City, NC and Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC.

What brought most joy to Ann was her family and the fun family get togethers.  She was able to meet her most recent great grandson born this past February on FaceTime and was thrilled.  She loved cooking, sewing and knitting beautiful Christmas stockings.  She continued to knit blankets for nursing homes, beanies for soldiers, and 100’s of beanies for NICU.

Greeting her in eternal life and with open arms are her parents, John and Mildred Reed; her brother, Gerald Reed, whom she adored; her grandson, Matthew, who was perfect in every way; and her husband of 54 years, Charles.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Michael Robinson, Kathy Brown, Tom (Nga) Robinson, Carol (Kevin) Murphy, Eileen (Mike) Roberts, Brian (Kristen) Robinson, and Patricia (Jamie) Dygert; 19 beautiful grandchildren who all held a special spot in her heart; 13 great grandchildren; loving nieces’, Jennifer Holick and Linda Marsh; and sister-in-law, Jane Reed.

At Ann’s request, a private Memorial Mass will be held in the Spring at Immaculate Conception Church.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville, NY  13066.
