Obituary for Anne T. Giopulos

 

      Anne T. Giopulos passed away Friday, April 22, 2022.  She was born in Warsaw, New York on January 23, 1929 to the late George and Helen Thompson. She was employed by the Liverpool Central School District as a teaching assistant  for 17 years retiring in 1994.   She was a member of St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church and its Philoptochos Society and the Daughters of Penelope.  

     She was predeceased by her husband, James Giopulos, and her brother and sister-in-law, James and Arlene Thompson. 

     She is survived by her daughters, Floria Panels (Peter) of Fayetteville, New York and Eleni Beyer (Steven) of Pittsford, New York; and her son, Dean Giopulos (Katherine) of Buffalo, New York; seven grandchildren, Jeanne Visser, James Panels, Gregory Beyer, James Beyer, Anastasia Beyer, Ella Giopulos and Grace Giopulos; and seven great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her extended family in Wellsville, New York and Rochester, New York. 

     Private services were held at St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church, Syracuse, New York with burial at Oakwood Cemetery.
