Obituary for Anthony A. Orioli

Anthony Orioli, 82, of Fayetteville, died at Menorah Park on Tuesday, April 2. He was born to Emory and Mary Venditti Orioli on March 15, 1937. Tony was a graduate of Solvay Schools and Lemoyne College, both with honors.

In June of 1958, he graduated from college, married Jeanne Feola, and began his 35 year career at General Electric. At GE he was a member and President of the Foreman’s Association, was manager of the Manufacturing Management Program, and was a member of the Elfun Society.

Tony served on the Board of Education of Solvay Schools, and after retirement, on the boards of ECHO Meals on Wheels and the Eastern Meals, where he also helped in their kitchens. Tony served as treasurer of the Home Owners’ Association of Erie Village and was an AARP tax preparer. He loved to play golf and was a great Yankees and SU basketball fan.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanne; three children, Christine (Dave) Kechkaylo of Noblesville, IN, Susan (Ross) Maniaci of North Syracuse, and Robert Orioli of Syracuse; four grandchildren, Aaron (Sharon) Baker, Elizabeth (Mark) Taylor, Rebecca (Brad) Lane, Melissa Orioli; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Bernadine (Frank) Testa; brother John (Cynthia) Orioli; sister-in-law, Judy Orioli; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, James and Matthew Orioli.

Our family is grateful to the staff on The Terrace at Menorah Park for their dedicated care. Thanks to all of them, especially Wayne Glover, we are family.

Calling hours will be 1-2 pm on Thursday, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
