Obituary for Anthony M. Romano

Anthony M. Romano, died Wednesday evening, in Syracuse.

He was the son of the late Luigi and Rose Romano. A native of Syracuse, he graduated from North High School and Syracuse University. A Veteran of World War II, he served in the US Army in North Africa and Italy. He was employed by the American Financial Corporation for thirty-seven years.

Anthony was predeceased by his wife of 56 years Margaret A. Greene Romano in 2005 and brother Dr. Henry J. Romano of Auburn, NY.

Mr. Romano is survived by his son Anthony M. (Colette) Romano of Buffalo, NY and daughter Rita A. Romano of Manlius, NY; two grandchildren Mrs. William (Katelyn) Romano-Batton of Myrtle Beach, SC and Nicholas A. Romano of Buffalo, NY; two great grandchildren, Sienna Margaret and Maddox John Batton; sister-in-law Joanne H. Romano of Auburn, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 10am at St. Ann’s Church, 104 Academy Street, Manlius. There will be no calling hours. Entombment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anthony’s memory may be made to the Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave, Syracuse, NY 13208. Please no flowers.
