Arlene Margaret (Everitt) Hirsh passed gracefully from this world on April 18, 2022.  She was born January 11, 1935 in East Syracuse, New York to parents John and Pauline Everitt.   Arlene graduated from East Syracuse High School and began working as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone.

     On June 25, 1955 Arlene married her beloved husband, Edward Gorman Hirsh, also from East Syracuse, NY.  They celebrated 54 years of marriage until Edward’s death in 2009.  

     Arlene was a secretary with the Crowley Insurance Company for many years and later worked alongside her beloved husband as office manager and bookkeeper for E. G. Hirsh Company. 

     She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Rogues Roost and The Cavalry Club.  Arlene is survived by her loving daughter, Teri and her husband Clay Smith and her two dearly adored grandchildren, James and Kelly Smith. 

     Family and friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 24th at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville.  Prayers will begin at 9:15 am on Monday, April 25th at the funeral home followed by the funeral Mass at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in DeWitt.
