Barbara Elaine (Arnold) Duck, 86, of Syracuse, passed away at home on Friday, November 15 following a short illness. Barbara was born in Union Star, Missouri on August 9, 1933.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Frank L. Duck Jr.; her mother, Delphia Ellen Boyce; her sister, Pat Sandidge; and her brothers, Sam Ford and Harvey Arnold.

She is survived by her sister, Nina Helm of Cameron, MO; children, Frank L. Duck III (Bernice), Gary Duck (Joyce), Michael Duck (Robin), Jeffrey Duck (Mary), and Michele Antonacci (Robert); as well as her 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was an avid baseball fan, particularly of the New York Yankees, and always made her children and family her first priority. She loved cooking for and spending time with her family. Barbara was truly one of the kindest souls and will be missed dearly by her friends and family.

Barbara’s family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Crouse Hospital, especially Dr. Herbert Goldman.

Services for Barbara will be private, but her family ask that contributions can be made to Hospice of CNY.
