Obituary for Barbara E. Norman

     Barbara E. Norman passed away on April 23, 2023.  Barbara was born on May 23, 1931 and was a lifelong resident of her beloved Fayetteville New York.  She was a loving daughter, mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.

     Barbara loved music and fostered this love with those around her always humming or singing as she cooked for her family or gardened in her beautiful backyard.  She was also an avid reader who passed this love of reading to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Frequent trips to the Fayetteville library,  Economy bookstore and Book  traders were always a highlight for her family as was reading the Sunday comics together.

     She planned great summer vacations taking her family to historical sights around and across the United States. In later years she worked for the Town of Manlius Parks and Recreation taking senior citizens on fun trips as well.  When she retired she continued to travel and took several cruises with Phil, her husband of 69 years.

      Barbara was predeceased by her husband Philip F. Norman Sr.  She is survived by her children Suzanne (Thomas) Nelson, Cheryl (Steven) Lutter, Philip (Donna) Norman, her grandchildren Benjamin Nelson, Jenna (Andrew) Evans, Jocelyn Lutter, Dr. Andrew (Kristen) Nelson, Stefan (Jennifer)  Lutter, Seth Lutter and Emily Norman.  She is also survived by her 6 great grandsons Wesley Evans, Jensen Evans, Owen Lutter, Miles Nelson, Beckett Nelson and Bruno Lutter.

     Calling hour will be from 10:30 to 11:00 am on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel,. 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville.  The service will begin at 11:00 am at the funeral home followed by burial in the Fayetteville Cemetery.
