Barry D. Burgess, 47, of Hermitage, TN, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

    Born in Syracuse on September 18, 1974, he was the son of Peter and Mary Ellen Burgess.   Barry was a graduate of ESM, class of 1992, and New York University. He was a land sales agent in Tennessee for many years.

    Barry enjoyed cooking, music - especially Grateful Dead, traveling, classic movies, and most of all he loved his family.

    He is predeceased by his father, Peter Burgess.

   Surviving are his mother, Mary Ellen Burgess; significant other, Kim Cunliffe; daughter, Ella Burgess; sister, Heather (Dan) McDonald; nephews, Brendan and Connor McDonald; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

   Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 18 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. A celebration of life will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home. A private burial will take place on Wednesday in St. Mary’s Cemetery in DeWitt.

   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to No Kid Hungry or the American Heart Association.
