Obituary for Bruce F. Lupone

Bruce F. Lupone, 78, of Fayetteville, died peacefully on May 14, 2020. Born in Syracuse, Bruce graduated from Eastwood High School. He worked as a civil engineer for the NY State Department of Transportation for 34 years.

Bruce loved to fish and make objects out of wood while he was enjoying his retirement and spending his winters in Pine Island, Florida. He was a Jimmy Buffet fan and often used quotes from his songs in conversations, such as, “if your phone doesn’t ring it’s me”. He attended Holy Cross Church in DeWitt.

He was a kind and gentle man who everybody loved. His love for dogs was well known, as he was often seen talking and playing with those he came in contact with. A special bond existed with his neighbor’s dog named Petey for many years; they absolutely loved each other. He will be remembered as a great husband, loving father and a friend to all.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Janette; daughter, Lisa Laquidari (Lupone); brothers, Frederick Lupone and David Lupone; sister, Jean Vella; several nieces, nephews and Godchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick & Lucille Lupone; and sister, Lucy Salatte in 2016.
