Catherine E. Ledda, 99, of Jamesville, NY, died December 19, 2022, where she was residing at the Nottingham Residential Community.  She was born in 1923, in Manhattan, NY to John and Angelina Porcheddu and grew up in the Bronx. In 1951, she married John Ledda and shared 63 happy years with him until his death in 2014.

     Mrs. Ledda graduated from Hunter College in 1944 with a BA in Math. In her working career, she taught math in various schools, was an optical designer for Farrand Optical Company and worked as a computer programmer for AT&T, from which she retired in 1996. She lived and raised her family in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY before moving to Fort Myers, FL after retirement. There, she spent her time traveling, golfing, serving on local committees and singing in the choir. She was an avid reader and enjoyed visits from her family and friends.

     Mrs. Ledda is survived by her children, Carolyn (Paul) Frymoyer of Manlius, NY, Gene (Maureen) Ledda of Daytona Beach, FL, and Valerie (Albert) Reiner of Savoy, MA; three grandchildren, Scott, Johanna and Mark Frymoyer; and her sister-in-law, Michelina Porcheddu. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and her brother, Edmund Porcheddu.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville, NY. The service will be live streamed at www.icfayetteville.org/funerals
