Obituary for Charles R. "Rusty" Brownell Jr.
It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce that our brother, Rusty, of East Syracuse, NY passed away on September 29, 2020. He was 62 years old and was predeceased by his parents Charles “Russ” and Jennifer Brownell.
He is survived by his two sisters, Karen (Tom) Kavanaugh and Jennifer Brownell; brother, Stephen (Jacklyn) Brownell; three nieces, Alexandra Kavanaugh, Rebecca Kavanaugh and Amanda Brownell; and three nephews, Matthew Brownell, Andrew Brownell and Stephen Brownell. Rusty also leaves behind his very dear childhood friend Mark Westfall.
Rusty graduated from East Syracuse Minoa High School and went on to become a truck driver for G&C Trucking Company. He was full of life and had a heart of gold. He loved many sports including snowmobiling and watching SU football and basketball, but his greatest passion was NASCAR. Rusty will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be private and for immediate family only.
