Obituary for Charles P. Walsh
C. Patrick Walsh, 84, of Minoa passed away peacefully surrounded by family , Sunday. He was born in Syracuse the son of the late James and Elizabeth Walsh. Pat graduated from Eastwood High School and SUNY Oswego earning a Master’s Degree in Education. He was a Teacher and Guidance Counselor for the Syracuse City School District for 38 years until his retirement.
Pat enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and golfing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Eileen; daughters, Mary (Bob) Greiner, Ellie Walsh, Kate Walsh; grandchildren, Kristin and Gretchen Greiner, Megan Bird, Patrick Prusik; great-grandsons, Brian and Sean Bird; several nieces and nephews. He predeceased by eight siblings.
Calling hours will be January 10 from 4-6 p.m. at R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Rd. Minoa. A Rite of Christian Burial will be January 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 401 N. Main St., Minoa.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to; St. Jude Children’s research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis TN 38105.
