Donna K. Stewart, 88, of Fayetteville, NY passed away peacefully at her son’s home surrounded by family.  Donna was born in Pickford, MI, grew up in Ithaca, NY and has resided in Fayetteville, NY since 1960.  She was an avid bowler.  She and her husband enjoyed boating and were members of  the Calumet Island Yacht Club in the Thousand Islands and traveled south by RV in the winter.  She was a member of the Squadronettes of Syracuse Sail and Power Squadron and the Coast Guard Auxiliary.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Fayetteville and was secretary of the Women’s Group. 

     She was predeceased by her husband, Tyler C. Stewart; and parents, John and Doris Kangas.

     She is survived by her children, Paul Stewart of Manlius, John (Elizabeth) Stewart of Central Square and Brenda (William) Abrams of Manlius; grandchildren, Samantha (Zachary) Lower, Kris Stewart, Matthew Stewart, Kat Abrams, Jessica Abrams and Taylor Abrams; great-granddaughter, Lillian Grace Lower and sister-in-law, Carol (Nicholas) Love of Rochester.

     Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, April 22nd at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville.  The funeral will follow the calling hours.  Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Union Cemetery in Cape Vincent at a later date.

     Everyone is encouraged to wear colorful clothing in celebration of Donna’s life.
