Edward W. Bort, 76 of Munnsville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He was born in Syracuse the son of the late Edward and Marjorie Bort.  He grew up in East Syracuse and graduated from ESM High School.

     Edward worked as a Machinist for Crouse Hinds for 44 years until his retirement.

      He enjoyed, spending time with family, Star Trek, hunting and his dog Valentine.

     Surviving are his loving wife of 33 years, Ruth; daughters, Vicki (Michael) Terpstra; sons Wayne (Sherry), Michael (Andrea), Elliott, and Mark (Lori) Bort; step-children, Robin (Tim) Collins, Richard (Brandy Sharp) Hardy, Russell Hardy, Roxanne (Eric) Baker; brother, Dale Bort; sister, Debra Johnston; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife Inez (Relyea) Bort; brother, Robert Bort.

     Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corner Road, Minoa. A funeral service will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial  will follow at Minoa Methodist Cemetery.
