Eugene A. Hotaling, 91, of Manlius died peacefully on Saturday at Crouse Community Center. He was born in Jamesville and retired from the Jamesville-DeWitt School District in 1986 as Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds. He then worked as a groundskeeper at Jamesville Beach for 20 years.

He was an active member of the Manlius United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Jamesville and Manlius Fire Departments for over 35 years.

He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Vietta Beekner Hotaling on August 25, 2019.
He is survived by son, Harold Hotaling and his wife, Mary of Manlius; daughter, Barbara E. Hotaling of Manlius; grandsons, William A. Hotaling of Brooklyn and Christopher R. Hotaling and his wife, Jenna of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Thursday, December 19th at the Manlius United Methodist Church, 111 Wesley St., Manlius. The funeral will follow the calling hours. Burial will be in Jamesville-Walnut Grove Cemetery.
