Fran was a communicant at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and Immaculate Conception Parish in Fayetteville.  His family was his greatest passion.  It started with and has always been centered on his marriage to the love of his life, Anne Schneid, in 1958.  They were blessed with six children, their six wonderful spouses, and twenty-one grandchildren.  He created a retreat for his family at his beloved “Farm” on Watervale Road in Pompey.  The Farm was his legacy to his grandchildren.

Fran is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Anne E. (Schneid) O’Connor, his six children Francis (Janet), Michael (Michelle), Theresa (Jerome) Brislin, Elizabeth (Peter) Ceravolo, John (Kathleen), and Patrick (Ellen), and his twenty-one grandchildren – Ryan O’Connor, Sean O’Connor, Brendan O’Connor, Matthew O’Connor, Michael O’Connor, Samantha O’Connor, Alexandra O’Connor, Katherine Brislin, Jerome Brislin, Amanda Ceravolo, Kristina Ceravolo, Hannah Ceravolo, Samantha Ceravolo, Julia Ceravolo, John O’Connor, Daniel O’Connor, Thomas O’Connor, Grace O’Connor, Caydence Snakard, Christopher O’Connor, and Patrick O’Connor.  He is also survived by his three sisters Joan Schultz, Carol Ann (Robert) Sparrow, and Diane O’Connor (Barb Ceglinski) as well as many nieces and nephews.  Fran was predeceased by his parents Francis G.
