Obituary for Francis R. Marlowe

     Francis R. Marlowe, 76, a life resident of Manlius, died on November 16, 2023, after a brief illness.  He began his career in 1968 as a patrol officer for the Village of Manlius, was promoted to Captain, and became the Chief of the Town of Manlius Police Department in 2002.  

     Fran was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Manlius.  He was a member of the F-M Rod and Gun Club and served on the Board of the F-M Food Pantry.  He loved animals, especially his dogs.

     He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sandy; two sons, Rob Marlowe of Tampa, FL and James Marlowe of Manlius; cousins; sister-in-law, Kathy McCarthy of Rochester; two nephews and a niece.

     Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, November 20 at Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Rd., Manlius.  The funeral will be 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 21 at St. Ann’s Church, 104 Academy St., Manlius.  Burial will be in Manlius Village Cemetery.
