Obituary for Frank Fanto
Frank Fanto, 84, of Manlius, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 in Jupiter FL. Born July 18, 1935 in Syracuse, NY and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in Niagara Falls, NY.
Frank served in the Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. He spent 43 years working for the Syracuse Newspapers. Frank was also an active member of the American Legion Post 141 in Manlius, NY.
Frank was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed time spent with his family. He was a member of St. Ann’s church in Manlius, NY.
He is predeceased by his wife Carmella and sister Rosemary (Fanto) Ortado.
Surviving are his sons, Domenick (Susan) of Pittsburgh, PA, Sebastian of Jupiter, FL, Michael (Sheila) of Villanova, PA, John (Sandy) of Manlius, NY; grandchildren, Victoria (Fanto) Hudock, Maria, Frank , Nicholas, Alexandra, Joseph, Lucy, Ashley, and Harry Fanto; great-grandchildren Lucas, Benjamin, and Francesca Hudock; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Monday, January 6 from 4 pm-7:00pm at Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Rd, Manlius. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 7, at 10am at St. Ann’s Church, Manlius.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made the American Cancer Society.
