Obituary for Frank J. Maimone
Frank J. Maimone, 73, of Kirkville, passed away Saturday August 17, 2019 with his family by his side.
Born in Syracuse on January 19, 1946 he was the son of Joseph and Margaret Maimone. He served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1967. Frank was a Syracuse Fire Fighter for 24 years, retiring in 1996.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing NASCAR, and especially after retiring he loved boating and being at the family camp on the St. Lawrence River during the summer months.
Frank was a Past President of the Syracuse Fire Department Local 280, on the Board of Directors of the Syracuse Fire Department Credit Union and member of the Syracuse Fire Fighters officers Association.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Carol; son, Derrick (Kris Volz); daughter, Danielle (Jack Bisnett); grandchildren, Samantha, Trevor and Nicholas; brother, Joseph Maimone; sister, Margaret (John) Bates; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday, August 23 from 4 to 7pm at the R.H. Schepp & Sons Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp Corners Road, Minoa. A funeral service will be Saturday, August 24 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery.
