George F. Collis, 100, of Fayetteville died peacefully at home with his family. He was born in Jersey City, NJ and graduated from Athens College in Athens, Greece. He served in the Coast Guard during WWII and acted as a Naval interpreter. He was the Central New York sales representative for P. Pascal Coffee Company for over 50 years.
George was a loving family man and dedicated his most recent years to caring for his wife, Theo. He was a member of St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church and was active in the AHEPA.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Theo; two children, Frank P. Collis (Joann) and Thalia Collis (Victor Vallo); four grandchildren, Alexandra and Allison Vizgaitis, and Jackson and Annabeth Collis.
Private burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oswego, NY.
