Obituary for Helen F. Sherwood
Helen F. Sherwood, 83, of Manlius, passed away November 2, 2020.
Born in West Winfield, NY on July 20, 1937, she was the daughter of George and Mary Fejko. She was a graduate of Herkimer High School and Central City Business Institute in Syracuse.
Helen loved cooking; her Christmas cookies were legendary. She always enjoyed helping others, volunteering at the Francis House, the Manlius Senior Center and baking cookies for the Samaritan Center in Syracuse.
She is predeceased by her siblings, John and George Fejko.
Surviving are her children, Ann Sherwood, Nancy (Thomas) Sherwood Johnson and Thomas (Elizabeth) Sherwood; grandchildren, Lukas and Summer Johnson and Mack, Louisa, Willa and Ford Sherwood; and nieces.
Calling hours will be 9:30 to 10:30am on Thursday, November 5th at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
